Rijkkustlanders (rie-kust-LAND-ers)
Mercantile and metropolitan, they dominate the east side of the Golden Peninsula. Living in wide open grasslands and along the beautiful sweeping eastern coasts, they are warm and welcoming to outsiders - particuraly those with coin. It is said that anything that can be bought is sold by a Rijkkustlander, and this has more than a ring of truth to it as Rijkkustlander caravans and merchant fleets cross the countryside and oceans, bringing goods to and from the entire peninsula. They are fiercly indipendent and progressive, meaning that any and all are welcome in their lands. Their culture has allowed the new Merchant Republics to flourish, and while they are not truely unique to the Rijkkustlanders, it is here that they are most numerous and prosperous.
