Grenzvolken (granz-FOLK-in)

Descendents of the Verstümmelt Imperium, they now sit on the borderlands of the Red Wastes. A hard people, they still see themselves as the true rulers of the Golden Peninsula but are occupied by the ever-present threat to their north. This threat is more than just a danger to their lives, as it seeks to steal their even their shard of death. Some say this proximity is the reason the Grenze has become a place constant warfare, while others point to the conquests of the old Imperials. Their only saving grace, if it can be called such, is that they are happy to act as mercenaries for other kingdoms and their heavy cavalry can be found on nearly all battlefields - often pitted against other Grenzvolken.
