History

Abduction

Varian has a young duke faced many internal problems. He was unable to reach a settlement between the emperor's command, and his people's hope, which led to a riot in 1132 AD in which his wife Tiffin Wyrm was killed.   After the dust had settled from the Riots, and after he mourned his wife, Varian journeyed to Holypertuis to speak with the Emperor Charle III Tana regarding his law and commands. En route, he was abducted by the extremist who had been told of his diplomatic trip through a spy rumored to be from the Whispering Qwir. Rumors circulated that he was taken south and was held captive there.   While trapped on an island in the Calamity Bay he would eventually be tied to the ground as cloaked figures began dark magic causing him unbearable pain as he desperately tried to break himself free. Braking free, Varian fought his aggressor, but quickly overpowered by their number, he had no choice but to jump into the ocean, knowing he wouldn't be followed as this bay contained many monsters. Strong tide overpowered him, and he was swept away to the Desolation Desert shore.   After the duke Varian Reiter went missing under suspicious circumstances while en route to a diplomatic mission, the Duchy of Freed was believed to be going through a state of disarray. Young Laure Reiter was given the crown so that order could be preserved within the Duchy of Freed. A title and position she flee from.

Gladiator

Half-drowned and suffering from memory loss, he was found washed up on the shores of the desolation desert by a caravan of Dragonborn led by a gladiator trainer. He was captured and enslaved as a gladiator. Unaware of the human's true identity, the human was thrown into a cage with two other gladiator slaves: Broll Bearmantle and Valeera Sanguinar. That night, in order to help him remember his past, Broll placed Varian in a trance, wherein he saw a vision of his daughter as a lone adventurer.   After arriving in Holypertuis, the gladiator slave team started training. The three gladiators were taught new ways to kill as well as strategy in single and team combat. Though Varian's team emerged victorious from the battle, they were left injured and exhausted from their fight. The colosseum offered no respite as he permitted yet another gladiator to come in and to take advantage of their weakened state and attack them. With both his teammates defenseless, Varian engaged in single combat and slew the other gladiator. From that battle, Varian learned to always expect the unexpected in the Colosseum.   After many bloody battles, they emerged the victors of the Crimson Ring tournament. Impressed by Varian's skill at arms, the crowd gave him the Taur-ahe moniker "Lo'Gosh" — which means "Ghost Wolf".   After the tournament, Lo'Gosh and Broll escaped the city with a stolen hippogriffe. As time went on, Lo'Gosh had more and more vision of his past, his memory slowly coming back. With his vision, he went with Broll to meet Karma Cnokaert, the court mage. There, she was able to help Varian recover his complete memory.

Revelations

While Lo'Gosh, Broll, and Valeera were traveling on the the north, Lo'Gosh contemplated the revelations Karma Cnokaert had told him. Despite being revealed as one of the duke of freed, he became unsure if he truly wanted to resume being "Varian Reiter" — if he had a choice, he would remain as "Lo'Gosh", a simple gladiator. Doubts began to fill Lo'Gosh's head as they traveled to the north.   FInaly back to his domain, and with the help of his companion, he defeated the traitors, and was brought back with his daughter, Laure Reiter. He offered Valeera and Broll to be his advisor, and to stay along his side.
