Charle III Tana

Emperor of Tana's Empire

Charle II Tana is the emperor of Tana's Empire, sovereign of all the people in Tana's Empire. Charle III is a figure of authority and a reference for the people, in addition, he is the supreme commander of the armies and has the final say in the politics of the country. Blessed by Waukeen, the emperor is also a divine force. Thanks to this divine statue, people tend to respect the emperor, even those who dislike him, as the empire is quite religious.   Charle, more than any emperor in the people's history, is extremely open with the people, keeping them up to date with the action taken by the empire, and the impact of those actions on their lives. Certain of Charle III reform were much appreciated, like the change in taxation by Waukeen church, reducing the weight on the merchant's shoulder, and balancing it with higher taxation on foreign import.   In addition to being Tana's Empire emperor, Charle III is also the king of the Kingdom of the Vale, while most of the emperor orders have to be applied by the local duchy, king, and lord, Charle III himself is in charge of making sure his law is taken into consideration in his own kingdom.   The emperor is married to Camelia Windrin, heir of the Windrin family. This marriage strengthened the bond between Tana and Windrin greatly.

History

In 1135 AD, Elemental of fire started to appear in the region surrounding the wood of the vale. Tana's empire army swiftly mobilized, gathering soldiers from the Kingdom of Vale, the Duchy of Freed, and the Kingdom of Qwir. The united forces marched towards the Wood of the Vale, as magicians pinpointed the source of the problem in that location.   Empire spies had gathered comprehensive information about the rebels, leading the imperial forces to focus their efforts on rooting out and eliminating the insurgents in the forest.   The siege on the forest commenced, with the imperial army encircling the area. But a group of adventurer manage to secure an audience with the army. The meeting sheds light on the rebels' perspective, alerting the army to the imminent danger they pose. Rumors of a gathering rebellion in Megima, coupled with increased tension, have created a precarious situation. The impending revolt seems to have escalated the conflict within the elven capital.   The adventurers lead the empire army towards the Kingdom -o Qwir, approaching Megima reveals a city engulfed in flames on the horizon. The elves, supported by the rebels, initiated an assault on the city, burning it in their attempt to breach the castle. Queen Manael was forced to open the doors, letting the rebels inside as the city succumbs to flames to prevent further damage to the civilians.   Inside the castle, the adventurers arrive too late to prevent the rebels from killing Manael, but they defeat the rebels, and emerge victorious. In the aftermath the Kingdom -o Qwir faced the urgent need for independence from the empire. The elves, having suffered enough under imperial rule, were eager to break free.   With the announcement of the defeat of the rebels' leader, the adventurers took advantage of the situation to negotiate with the imperial general. They presented the empire with a choice: engage in a prolonged battle with them, resulting in considerable losses, or allow the elves to flourish in the reborn Kingdom -o Qwir.   Recognized as heroes of great might, the adventurers leveraged their influence to facilitate the negotiation. The absence of a ruling leader after Manael's death led the people to turn to Galad. His wisdom and unwavering protection of those he loved made him a suitable candidate for the throne. Galad, the only surviving elf among the adventurers, was crowned king of the elves, marking the beginning of a new era.   In the days that followed, the reconstruction of Megima commenced, and on the day of the coronation, Emperor Charles III refused to attend the coronation, still mourning the death of his mother, Manael. Consumed by grief and anger at the rebels who had taken his mother's life, he found himself bereft of anyone else to blame. Redirecting his focus, he harbored intense animosity towards the imperial general who had retreated in the face of the adventurers. Moreover, he set his sights on Galad, who ascended to the thrones once occupied by his mother and uncle.
