The green enchantresses is an eternal dryad that guides the Sisters of the Vale; they are the keepers of the old ways; holding the knowledge of the rites and terms of pacts made in past eras. They uphold fey and men to their words, even if those where uttered thousands of years ago. Above all else, they commemorate the memory of their fallen sisters and watch over the worldroots, knowing the story of each. So too are they versed in ancient curses, of words that can sap strength or cause their victim to fly into a rage so consuming that it slaughters its own kin without compunction. The green enchantress never ages and succumbs to injury only briefly. Should she be slain, her siblings place her body upon a bier of root and ivy, and bear it away to the hallowed halls beneath a vale of tears. There, she slumbers away the weeks and months until the arrival of a new spring, where the roots of magic and life-energy restores her to existence. Only if her tree is destroyed or her body irretrievable or mutilated beyond all recognition does her spirit flee the mortal world, leaving her bereaved sisters to exact vengeance on her slayer. The mystical senses of a Green Enchantress see far and wide, her gaze reaching beyond the borders of her vale. Sometimes, when a mortal catches her sight or she is in need of an inconspicuous agent, she will wait for it to fall in battle or orchestrate his death and then offer to save him, replacing his heart by a worldroot. Those so blessed receive magic and power, becoming warlocks. A Green Enchantress’ motivations are at times inscrutable, but will often involve keeping the mortal and fey world separated, forcing a party to uphold their end in a mystical bargain or keeping an ancient evil contained.
History
Eithne Flosthùl grew up as an Elf among her people in the feywild. Playind in the woods, racing, learning to hunt. Eithne's idyllic childhood proved to be in sharp contrast to the sorrow and conflict that she would endure later in her life. As the young elf grew into adulthood she met Nillian and Nymue, and the three grew inseparateble, but as they reached adulthood, each had to find its calling. Eithne was to learn the druidic tradition, and became a novice druid. Nymue was enamoured by the very thought of Eithne, but never even noticed the attraction between Eithne and Nillian.War of the Ancients
During the War of the Ancients, Eithne healed the wounded, turning the woods into a refuge. Nillian and Nymue both saw her as a love interest, but in the end Eithne would only return the feelings to one of them. As the battle against the demon grew more ferocious, Eithne had to call forth more and more of nature's power to heal the wounded, cure the diseased, and give rest to the death. There, she was faced with a choice, calling on nature's power was taking a heavy toll on her, but she had to continue to save her people. One fateful day, her lover, Nillian, was brought to her, grievously wounded. Brought to tear by the state of the one she loved, she gave up everything she had to save him, the nature extending its influence on the druid's body, transforming her as the world roots themself were giving her the power she needed. On this day, Eithne became the very first dryad and saved her lover. With her new power, her life was never-ending, linked to Toriel itself, she couldn't die or be defeated. Yet after the war, death took its price, Nillian dying of old age, Eithne had to live with the death of her first true love.
Vision of the futur
Along the years, Eithne had gained the title of green enchantress, she was now the leader of the dryad, one of the elven civilizations. Near a thousand years after the war, Eithne was strike by a vision of the future, seeing the horde of demons pouring onto Toriel once again. Unsure of the meaning of those visions, she spent countless nights, fighting her power, hoping for it to fade. But she finally realized those visions were prophetic and took it upon herself to prevent this future. She slaughtered the guards of Nymue, freeing her, hoping her power could prevent a new war. Her own child opposed her decision, knowing of the wrongdoing of Nymue. But the dryad was right, even if this precipitated Nymue doom, the new demonic invasion was avoided.
Fight for the Vale
After the great extinction, the green enchantress and those of her people who survived hide deeper in the wood of the vales. The dragon the green enchantress once fought with, were now facing the giants in a new conflict, the Draco-Giant War. A green dragon, named Reyth believed the forest to be his. Reyth and Eithne fought each other for the control of the forest, Eithne hoping to protect what was left of her people, empowered by nature itself, her power was enough to face the dragon. their endless battle was put to a stop when they found a common enemy. With the end of the dragon era, the humans were expanding their territories, burning the forest, and slaughtering those on their path in what they called Tana's Great Reunion. The wood of the vale grew thorns, poisonous spikes, and the enchantress illusion made it even harder to find her and the dragon. With these powerful magic warding the forest, the woods became known as a place where only nature was accepted. the arrow of the dryad making sure to drive away any human coming too close. Eithne and Reyth agreed to share the forest and slowly grew closer, until becoming lovers.Elven Rebels
In 1134 AD, a group of adventurers embarked on a journey to the wood of the vales, They encountered the Green Enchantress. Despite her reluctance to allow elven rebels into her forest, she agrees, not wanting to witness the unnecessary deaths of the elves. The adventurers learn of ruins within the woods, Evandor's rest, and are informed that clearing the ruins will grant them access to the shelter. THe adventurers cleared the ruins before presenting themselves again in front of Eithne. Honoring their deal, Eithne grants them permission to use the ruins as they see fit. The main force of the elven rebels joins the adventurers in the Wood of the Vale, establishing a camp in the ruins that they begin to clean and transform into a suitable home. The ruins serving as the headquarter of rebels during the Elven Rebellion. Months later In 1135 AD, the adventurers came back from a journey to the plane of fire and fought the elven rebels. The battle, leading to the defeat of the rebels caused the portal present in the ruins to collapse creating a rift to the Elemental Plane of Fire. The battle's commotion attracted the attention of the Sister of the Vales, prompting Reyth to visit the adventurers. Reyth try to contain the rift, he exerts every effort to prevent the tear through the planes from widening and consuming the entire forest. Despite Reyth's valiant efforts, countless elementals continued to emerge not only underground but also throughout the forest and the surrounding region, sowing chaos and fire in the empire. The Kingdom of Vale and Kingdom -o Qwir, in particular, were heavily affected. Eithne, arriving on the scene with her initial intent to capture the adventurers, witnessed the unfolding crisis. After negotiations and explanations, she decided to align herself with the adventurers in the impending conflict. Her primary concern was to prevent the forest, her home, from being consumed by flames, and she recognized the urgency of standing against the rebels.Facing the Empire
Tana's empire army swiftly mobilized, gathering soldiers from the Kingdom of Vale, the Duchy of Freed, and the Kingdom of Qwir. The united forces marched towards the Wood of the Vale, as magicians pinpointed the source of the problem in that location. Empire spies had gathered comprehensive information about the rebels, leading the imperial forces to focus their efforts on rooting out and eliminating the insurgents in the forest. The siege on the forest commenced, with the imperial army encircling the area. Without Reyth's formidable power to counter them, facing the combined might of the army, with only the adventurers and the green enchantress, proved to be an arduous task. The adventurers secured an audience with Lewis von Verurteilung and other military commanders. The interview sheds light on the rebels' perspective, alerting the army to the imminent danger they pose. The revelation and ensuing discussion shift the army approach that march to Megima.Galad Coronation
Following the events involving the rebels, the adventurers successfully secure the independence of the elven kingdom, culminating in the coronation of Galad Ithil as the new king. At the ceremony, both Eithne and Reyth arrive to pay their respects to the newly crowned monarch.Family tree
