Ten years after the Battle of Worldbreaker's Howe, the Fire Wasps reunited to celebrate their victory.
In 1091 SKR, on Carolan 5, the growing village of Worldbreaker's Howe was the site of a large celebration of the defeat of the Tarrasque. The anniversary of the battle had become known as Breaker's Day and was celebrated throughout much of Aldorath. This time, however, the holiday was made especially grand in the little town, as the surviving Fire Wasps came together to celebrate.
King Tristan Holdfast Tarmoore arrived with his wife, Queen Shairi Thonwyr, and their three children – Talbot, Eleanor, and baby Caudus. Ghost came, along with her eldest child Lasha, who was soon off with Kadilly Thistleshanks, eldest child of Tilly and Henna Thistleshanks, who were both in attendance, along with their other children, Lilly, Bloom, and the twins, Arbilly Jr. and Tilly Jr.. Brother Natharios and his husband Abbot Christopher were there, as were the Shaper, Rubicus Chillbrow, and Naali Chamond. Captain Daria Havengard came to honor the memory of her brother, Kidalis.
Others came who could, joining them as former allies or in memory of the event. Prince Harbryn Thonwyr of Sudwaine and his wife, Princess Alinora Greenfields attended. Duchess Edele Padwyn and her Ducal Consort Ezelan Havengard came with their young son Anathar. Farakeel Aurumvoss, Dragonlord of Mahakazor came with his husband, Atharax Argenvai, and their Kobold Minister of Works, Zikzok. Prince Aureon Aelia of Vronti Aetou, accompanied by his Cloud Giant friends Bengurion and Savina, arrived in their cloudship, the Aurora Australis. Kinnaria ap Mavarondys and some other of the Order of the Silver Gryphon knights of Tavanion came in the name of their lost prince, Belerion ap Kadishai. Chime of Varrenholm came, along with his friends Herald, Buckler, and Glaive. And Durgral of Aiyolhast came in the name of his brother Lurgrak.
(As a side note, Lurgrak himself could not attend as his mate, Eshtraka, was close to the birth of their first child. And on the same day as the celebration, their daughter, Aiyolhara, was born.)
The celebration involved a tournament jointly hosted by Baron Kadran Greenfields and the Warforged of Firsthome. There were entertainers of all sorts, merchants, and food vendors selling things like “Tarrasque Tarts”, a meat pie made with ground beef, pork, and veal. Many wonder if it will be the last time the living Fire Wasps are together again, as their responsibilities are keeping them away from each other, more and more.
