Firsthome

Firsthome is the name given by the Warforged to the town that they have created in the Broken Barrows area of Summerlund. The oldest parts of town are actually underground and are where the warforged were discovered in 831 SKR. These areas are believed to be of “Weaver make and represent one of the most intact representations of Weaver architecture that is known. The warforged are very reluctant to let others down into the deeper recesses of Firsthome. Some theorize that this is where they guard their precious creation forges, and, if these were ever destroyed, no new warforged could ever come into being.

In late 1081 SKR, the Tarrasque, as it followed the Path of the Destroyer, did terrible damage to Firsthome, but the Warforged have been rebuilding industriously, and the damage actually revealed previously unknown unerground areas as well. Although rebuilding continues, the city has become the defacto capital of the Protectorate of Varrenholm, part of Summerlund, but independently controlled by the Warforged. Their elected leader, Chime, continues to rule well, advised by a council which includes Selentai, the last living Weaver. The newer areas of town are above-ground, partly created from blocks of stone recovered from other nearby ruins. These areas are open for all to come and trade, and most non-warforged inhabitants of the town, enjoying the autonomy of living in a Protectorate, settle in this area.
