Eshtraka

Eshtraka is an Orc who was part of the Orcish Hordes and was born on the Orcish Steppes. She was under the command of Gruzhgarn during the War of the Three HeadsWar of the Three Heads, but she saw no possibility of advancement, except to find herself in a command position...difficult in the male dominated orc society. She met Lurgrak, Gruzhgarn's son, and she found a kindred spirit in him. Both of them, along with Durgral, Lurgrak's younger brother, about the possibility of living in peace and having other possibilities beyond dying in Laminok Bloodfist's endless war.

After Gruzhgarn was slain, Lurgrak began more active plotting and recruiting many other young orcs. With Durgral and Eshtraka by his side, he spoke of a new way, where they could live in peace. He became aware that the new leader of the Hordes, Gorthak, was allied with a faction called the Five Who Call. This alliance was calling for the Hordes to follow Humans and even Undead in the wake of the Tarrasque. Lurgrak saw a possibility, as he'd previously encountered the Fire Wasps, a group of Adventurers who had defeated his mighty father. He believed they would find a way to throw down the Tarrasque, and he believed this would be their chance to escape. After parlaying with them, the faction he led marched to the Battle of Worldbreaker's HoweBattle of Worldbreaker's Howe, but there they changed their stars.

As the battle was joined, Lurgrak's faction, including Eshtraka, attacked the rest of the orcs, sewing discord and chaos. Gorthak couldn't let the insult lie, so he took the bait and followed as Lurgrak's forces retreated. Soon, the retreating orcs took command of a fortress in the Steppes and repelled all those who came against them. Eshtraka was invaluable in this battle, as he had been garrisoned there and knew the fortress inside and out. Gorthak's orcs took heavy losses and ultimately fell back, only to find their allies had already been defeated.

Lurgrak worked with the Fire Wasps, the Halflings of Dalenshire, and the Summerlings of Summerlund to settle peacefully. They named their new country Aiyolhast, the Land of Hope.

The friendship and respect between Lurgrak and Eshtraka grew, and, once Lurgrak had been named Kulhadar, he asked Eshtraka to be his mate. She agreed, and, as of 1091 SKR, has given Lurgrak a daughter, Aiyolhara, born on Breaker's Day, the 10th anniversary of the Battle.
