Orcish Steppes
Although the Orcs and their God-King Laminok Bloodfist are no longer the world-endangering threat they were some 1,000 years ago, the chaos of the Second Witching WarSecond Witching War allowed them to push back the borders of Tavanion, Dalenshire, and Summerlund to carve lands for themselves in the southern lands of Aldorath. These lands, mostly arid and made inhospitable by Orcish depredations, have become known as the Orcish Steppes.
The harshest blow for many years was that the island of Sudwaine, previously part of Summerlund, was captured and turned into the orcish city-temple of Sharbaduk. This gave orcish corsairs a port in the south from which to raid. When Sudwaine was liberated in the War of the Broken Chain BeginsWar of the Broken Chain , however, this insult was finally ended.
After the Battle of Worldbreaker's HoweBattle of Worldbreaker's Howe, the orc Lurgrak secured most of the Orcish Steppes in rebellion against Laminok and the Orcish Hordes. He now rules this land, which has become known at Aiyolhast.
