Iota Gauras Capital Fortress
Large space fortress that protects a wide area of space present in the Iota Gauras System, of the Zeta Halanet System. It explicitly protects the matrioshka brain megastructure in the system.
The Capital Fortress is a large, 60 km station that is armed with a huge number of High Energy Turret Hardpoints and is usually equipped with technologies like ewar, cloaking inhibitors and subspatial starship detectors. Though this makes the station very large and heavy it is also extremely powerful.
It's also complemented with a number of starships such as Boson - Class Destroyers allowing the station to engage forces outside it's range.
To prevent attack from interstellar weapons, the station is well hidden. The Hyperion Federation has managed to make it Cloak, hiding it in an orbit near the Matrioshka Brain. The result of this is likely to be a very powerful surprise attack.
Due to being close to a dark matter star, it also must be protected from the antimatter radiation. The station emits a large magnetic field around itself which doubles as an extra defence against charged particle cannons and ion weapons. The gamma rays from the star are absorbed by the energy shield and physical radiation shield present underneath the TGX Composite armour.
The station also has a cultural importance in the system. It is also the largest war memorial of the system and is large enough to have a large number of heavy displays, such as tanks. Different species celebrate war memorial days at different times, so the museum is quite busy year round, often with different species. The war memorial section appears like a large cube structure about 4 km across.
