Iota Gauras II
Iota Gauras II was a gas giant planet in the Iota Gauras System, a star system that itself orbits the Zeta Halanet dark matter star, owned bythe Hyperion Federation.
The gas giant was quite warm due to its relatively close proximity to the star, making it large and less dense than average.
Due to its comparatively high mass, the gas giant had a large amount of replicating AI machines orbiting it when the Hyperion Federation initially discovered the system. The replicating machines could extract more materials from it. After the HF reverse engineering and repurposing, they further increased in number around the world as they collect huge volumes of hydrogen gas that is commonly used by the HF in Transmutation Reactor to create heavier elements through fusion.
Now there is a large megastructure around it. The megastructure is comprised mostly out of the self replicating machines. By this point, the HF has reverse engineered and modified them to produce resources for the Federation, and there are a large number of gas giant extraction cables that reach down in to the giant planet. This hydrogen is fed into transmutation reactors so the structure is powered under its own resource production while at the same time supplying matter plasma. Specifically, heavier elements between oxygen and iron in mass, as well as a smaller concentration of light elements.
Now, very little light reaches the planet. It has become extremely cold and increased in density. There is still the small radiation source that is the Zeta Halanet star which emits a small amount of antimatter and gamma rays. Although the former is mostly deflected by the magnetosphere, the gamma rays reach the surface and can cause some weather effects and slightly heat up the side that faces the huge dark matter star.
