Arabas II
Planet located in the Arabas System, which is owned by the Sulethis Republic.
Arabas II orbits a very bright class B star at a relatively short radius. As such, most of the surface is comprised of lava. However, the world has managed to retain an atmosphere because it has a very strong magnetosphere and relatively strong gravity. This makes it more difficult to mine on, but the SR still mines this world anyway due to the high value of the ores located in the lava.
Additionally, it takes little energy for a mining structure to simply filter valuable material from useless lava/magma, which is then expelled. Valuable material is obviously kept and then refined on world as it requires far less energy to melt metals than it does in most locations, as the surroundings are already in the thousands of kelvin. The world isnt entirely lava and magma however, there are notably large chunks of rock sometimes the size of continents. This can actually add another layer of difficulty to mining here, but every mining platform closely resembles a submarine-like vehicle, able to detect incoming rocks and evade using its engine. These rocks can be thrown by tidal changes on the world caused by the star, as it is so massive and relatively close.
