Description

Saxon Thegns are lower class officers that serve the upper class nobles of the Saxons. They are paid well, and sometimes carry out other duties besides acting as bodyguards, and shock troops for their masters. Each is a skilled combatant and usually armed for close quarter battle.

Suggested Environments

Old Saxony.


Shieldwall. When three or more Thegns are within 5 feet of each other, one or more can call a Shieldwall as their action. Until the start of their next turn, they cannot do any other actions, and have advantages on saving throws.   Well Trained. Each Thegn is well trained, and expert fighters. They score critical hits on a 19 or 20.

Actions

Multiattack. Each Thegn makes two attacks with their battleaxe, longsword or Seax.   Battleaxe. Melee Weapon Attack +2 to hit, reach 5 ft, one target. Hit 6 1d8+2 slashing damage, or 7 1d10+2 slashing damage if using it two handed.   Longsword. Melee Weapon Attack +2 to hit, reach 5 ft, one target. Hit 6 1d8+2 slashing damage, or 7 1d10+2 slashing damage if using it two handed.   Seax. Melee Weapon Attack +2 to hit, reach 5 ft, one target. Hit 4 1d4+2 slashing damage.
