The violence began in earnest as Las Plagas stormed into Twice Lucky, violating their treaty with The Syndicate.

Yeti Boy watched as Las Plagas enforcers, Nox and Scourge unleashed their terrifying Shifted abilities on the crowd. Nox attacked the young hero with tendrils of toxic smoke, but Colt was saved by Sokudo, a Shifted speedster and Syndicate enforcer.

Kinetic did her best to get the group together and called for a retreat. Yeti Boy was reluctant to back down and there was a brief argument, interrupted by the attack of another Shifted Syndicate gangster, Zokyo. His explosive assault left the Vandals injured and demoralized, but Vendetta managed to lay down some well placed smoke bombs giving them a chance to escape. Joni Whelan and Yeti Boy used their enhanced strength and agility to get the Vandals to safety.

After a quick debrief and some more arguments, Vendetta and Disruptr convinced the team to see if Dutch could help Big Sis, who was badly injured. Dutch took them to an abandoned clinic, given to him by a friend who had to leave town in a hurry. Dutch gave the keys to Vendetta, and said the place was for her and the team.

The Vandals bonded while exploring their new base, and Vendetta opened a conversation about what their mission should be, and what they wanted to do for the Canyons. Everyone agreed that they wanted to help the citizens that were powerless to escape the Spiderweb, and that they would start by finding Becca Marlow, the Steel Panther being hunted by her own gang.

The next day, Vendetta and Disruptr broke into Jami Pierce's house looking for clues, and by using her Liminal Heart, Vendetta learned that Becca had been dealing with Tony Staxx. The girls went to Josie's Noodle Shack for some information and some ramen. Turns out Tony knew about Becca, but wanted a favor in return. He needed the Vandals to break into Grapevine and rescue Josie's good for nothing boyfriend, Marcus.
