The Conflict

Battlefield

The Elven Lands were turned into a massive battlefield that saw every field, valley and forest covered with the bodies of the dead.

Outcome

The war saw no winner as a surge of magical energy caused the fighting to end as it crippled their armies.

Aftermath

Magic became apart of almost everything across the continent and the Elves split apart form one another.

Historical Significance

It was during the time when the Elves were united as one people during their arrival on the Continent of Dageth which had been over four centuries now. But their discovery of magic had caused them to have divided opinions on how to use it. With some wishing to use it for the greater good while other wanted to use it build a new empire on Dageth to one they lost. Though magic was still new to them as none were able to use it before on the Continent of Kinath they were able to quickly master it. This soon led to those following Dark Magic as well without anyone realizing the danger it posed. Those with magic began to abuse their powers for their own need and sides soon became blurred from all of the chaos. But unexpectedly as tragedy would strike as it would destroy what ever sense of unity they had for one another.     Queen Elnara Velanendre, grand daughter of the last emperor of the Elven Empire was murder in broad daylight. This sparked out rage amongst all the Elves as the Queen was fair and true to her people and to be murdered by one of her own was seen as the last straw. Though no one knew who did it both sides blamed one another for it. Soon enough two sides would be formed to decide the fate of their people. Those who used dark magic and those who used magic for good as there armies began together all across the land. Elves that treated one another as kinsmen soon began to murder one another as all out war consumed the land. Nothing was safe from the bloodshed from both sides as it tore the land apart. Many years had based and neither side had gain ground as thousands of Elves were killed. Magic became a necessary weapon of war to ensure victory as powerful magic users began to rise from the ranks. With these ranks were two of the greatest magic users in Elvish history, Delan Kura and Makas Kulonas who lead their sides into victory after victory. They would soon face one another in final battle of the war known as the Battle of Fates on the Plains of Orios. It was at that moment that the two would clash with one another in a legendary duel as the armies watched in amazement.   But the power of their magic that clashed with one another soon lead massive explosion of magic that crippled their armies and both of them vanished. It soon dawned on the whole continent had changed as magic became apart of everything around it, except the Dwarves for some reason. This event would be remembered as the Awakening, as magic had come to life across the land an become apart of it. They themselves had changed as well and knew that they no longer wished to fight. These new Elves soon scatter across the land and began to form their own ways of life with time as began to live in a whole new world that they had created.
