Lich
when power consumes all
An undead like any other to walk the earth, a lich is not an undead that was resurrected but were actually alive at one point! Most of them where originally mortals practicing necromancy but would bay the ultimate price to gain power, by taking away the life force right out of them. What is left is an undead that is sentient and very dangerous. Their magic is far greater then the most experienced spell caster as well, since their body does not react to the price of magic as a living being would. Making them able to sustain much more tolerance and unleashing greater magic power then anyone could ever imagine. But this comes at a price a lich must feed off the living to keep its powers at an optimal rate. The amount of life force depends on the amount of magic they uses up. If they do not do this they will go into a weakened state leaving them vulnerable and that is when it is the time to strike. Attacking it while it is a full power would be considered unwise as doing so will result in agonizing death. A lich is like an other undead you just simply smash it to pieces to keep it down for good. But first you have to get past it army of undead and that will not be a easy task at all. It usually end in a slaughter in open battle which is why you have deal with them when they are when they are resting and their minions are way. The lich will not decay like other undead since it is stay alive on magic alone so wait it out is not an option. No one knows how many their are in existence, but you may encounter in old ruins are dark place where they feel right at home
