Furrow
Five years ago during the invasion of New Caliber the strike was led by one of the Lich Kings of Perevada
. This area where the docks met the heavily populated South End residential districts was the spearhead of the invasion. The Lich King Pohlval struck here, unleashing a ritual that corrupted the ground, killing thousands and raising them as undead to bolster his army. The lich was eventually killed and his army destroyed, but this beachhead remains despoiled land.
The entire district is now walled off, and while the government has repeatedly stated the undead are gone, those living near enough to hear the noises from the Furrow know better. Inside the walls the water has risen up, knee-deep on a human and now stagnant and polluted with bodies and debris. The undead are still trapped here, mostly inert, but stirring every so often, leading to the unnatural moans heard by residents nearby. The neighboring South End apartment complexes are some of the cheapest in New Caliber, and with good reason, but the area has drawn more than a few interested in necromancy and the undead. Some say the walls didn't go far enough, and stories of undead in the neighborhood are unsurprisingly common, but not often verified.
