Transformation

The greatest of the Fleshwarpers of Ythill transcended their own forms and became pits of endless mutation and renewal, constructing and deconstructing endless forms to create the perfect being. Some believe their expertise in matters of transformation may have come from an ancient and benevolent source, while others argue that Transformation magic was ultimately derived from the shards of Ebokan and from relics of the lost kingdom of Chaugn. .

Ythillian Path -   At the height of the Ythillian fleshwarping tradition in the days olf the Eldriad, the Ythillians reputedly inhabited communal bodies of different shapes and sizes, ranging from the small to the colossal. Such arcane arts are still known to those of the Ythillian Path who slowly transform themselves to become communalists, an art still thought to be practiced by the strange creatures of the Fomorian reaches.

While the Ythillian Path seems to be one of the least alien forms of transformation,     Tehezadian Path

The arcane powers nascent to Changelings have long been studied and reproduced by those interested in Transformation magic, as the necessary physiological changes for Changeling-like arcane powers can be made to the bodies of Men. Many theories abound to why this is the case, with popular academics pointing towards a time when many family trees likely included Changeling blood. In truth, many who embark on the Tehezadian Path of Transformation magic often seek out and work with silverblood cults and ancient Changeling orders such as the Black Tehezad, as eventually the bodies and minds of such practitioners become indistinguishable from those of true Changelings.

  Ebokani Path

The remaining but potent fragments of Ebokani transformational magic draw on powers of animism and necromancy to allow the recipient of such magic to survive otherwise devastating changes in form and function. Terrible injuries warp and fuse living flesh into new configurations, creating an effective but painful transformation which causes permanent psychic and physical injuries which can only be survived by permanently employing various Ebokan animist rituals. This is considered the darkest of all the paths of transformation, and those who practice it often shy away from public attention and conceal their strange, permanently altered bodies from those around them.
