Investigators and Spies

The Divinators of the College serve as the College and Accord's inquisitors, snooping through both minds and physical space in an attempt to ferret out secrets. Most people are scared of Divinators and distrust them for their ability to pry into the personal worlds of others, seeing their ability to see the future as an arcane taboo. Powerful others such as merchants and politicians are known to maintain Divinators as consultants, exploiting these powers for great personal benefit. Whether the Divinators are gently guiding the community through auspicious events or aiding in machiavellian schemes, their power to navigate time itself is a formidable aid.

Mark of Divergence

5 - The mage occasionally receives flashes of mundane futures. A family eating soup, an uneventful trade occurring. These flashes are mildly irritating but not enormously disruptive.

10 - The unwelcome futures are more frequent. They are often meaningless or mundane, and sometimes interrupt the mage's functioning. They are distracting and cause moderate difficulty with sleep.

15 - Interruptive futures are frequent. The mage has difficulty sleeping, and is irritable most of the time. Conversations are abrupt and fragmented due to the difficulty in concentration.

20 - Communication is jarred, fragmented, and abrupt. The mage has a hard time remaining focused on the current timeline and will often make decisions that may apply better to the future situations. Interruptive futures are more disturbing, and can have an impact on the mage's emotional stability. The mage is increasingly concerned about imminent spiritual or physical destruction.

25 - The mage is obsessed with avoiding destruction, as many of the interruptive futures show the ends of the worlds. Sleep is a thing of the past.
