Solar Guns
The power of the sun might be seen as a clean energy, but if such energy had been used on weapons, it is considered a danger to humanity.
Mechanism
The liquid sun is pumping up from the gun's pressurized tank, working as an undetachable magazine, into a chamber. When pulling the trigger it releases either a hot, bright beam or ejects the substance into the environment. A single shot can heat up to an estimated 4,000 C with the pressure of several atmospheres. If the shot is strong enough it might release the energy equivalent to a ton of TNT upon touching. It can penetrate through tungsten like a butter.
For practical use, a typical solar gun with maximum power can evaporate any living creature into nothingness, with only burnt footprints left on spot. The solar pistol, the type with the lowest damage dealt, used only 1/1000 of the liquid sun used in the typical gun to be ejected an equivalent of typical bullets.
The biggest gun ever created is called The Ejector, the giant tower built on Gunda Island. It took the amount of liquid sun enough to powering the entire city im order to shoot a single one. It had been used to attack several cities, flattening the whole area in an instant. It was too powerful that the battle to take down this structure was considered the mark of the end of the global war.
Prohibition
Luckily, those guns have become a thing of the past. The military stopped making these a long time ago. Those who used to hold it might already have their own grandchildrens.
But maybe, some of those might have been stolen and sold in the black market. What they onlly need for charging are the liquid sun, and it can be found only on the solar power plant in which the city of Sungear, there is only one station - and it is heavily guarded.
Wonderful article. The ejector gives me nuclear war vibes. I also like the beginning quote as it helps set the tone for the solar guns.

Thank you for the feedback! Yes, I've been thinking the same. I may not expand it further for now and if so, there's gonna be a new world for it. :)
