Gaocheng

The Celestial City

Gaocheng is the captial city of the Eyaw Empire and seat of their emperor. Located high in the central peaks of the Shan Mountains, it is nigh inaccessible to creatures lacking flight. Which is on purpose, because only Eyaw citizens are allowed in.
The city is built on the inside of a mountain that was split in two by unknown forces long ago. The chasm is open to the air at the top and the West and East sides. Naturally occuring crystals in the walls of the mountain reflect what little sunlight peaks in. These crystals have been suplemented by the residents with giant silver mirrors, which make the whole place surprisingly bright.

Celestial Palace

The Celestial Palace is located at the top of the mountain. It sprawls from one side of the gorge, over a large bride, to the other side.
