At over six feet in height with a full bushy mustache - still without a fleck of gray despite his forty-five summers, Tundar is an imposing man. His broad shoulders, heavily muscled from swinging the heavy Dharjan scimitar he favors over the more common cavalry saber every day as he spars with the younger members of the Benidrene guard. It is said that Tundar could wrestle a bear the ground. While this might not be true any longer, a few pints of ale will invariably lead him into a tale where he did in fact wrestle with a bear in his youth. Oh, it was a small one but she was fiercely protecting her cubs and head full of sharp teeth - see, here are the scares he scars he bears to this day as a result of the match. And while Tundar wouldn’t say that he won, exactly, he certainly didn’t lose. He is still standing here, after all.
Nowadays, Tundar spends his time at the family’s Wargun residence. His stay - already several winters past the usual rotation at court for a member of the Benidrene family - could be the result of a spat with more powerful members of the clan. Perhaps, Duke Jothel once remarked dryly, they tired of hearing the same stories. Others note that Tundar seems to have an unnatural predilection for life in the city and, despite his many social gaffes, seems to have fit in well with other members of court. In particular he and Tessa Darin have attained some sort of bond and an often be found, heads together, faces flushed with wine, at the far end of the banquet table.
The only member of his clan that seems to enjoy spending time in Wargun, Tundar has taken the burden of representing the Paaz family at court. This may be because of his close friendship with the widow Tessa Darin, but he will tell you - enthusiastically - that it is sense of duty that keeps him cooped up in the city.
