Kiernheim Pass
Cutting through the high peaks of the northern Dreuthekon Mountains between the Orkish Hills and Drowned Lake, the steep grade of Keirnheim Pass makes is suitable for mountain goats, the spotted cats that prey upon them, and little else. The pass itself consists of what can only be described as terraces - each rising anywhere from five to fifty feet above its neighbor, the walls ragged cliffs of granite that, while climbable, would require ropes, pitons, and clawed shoes in the best of weather. Of course, given how far north the pass is, and how high it climbs, the weather is rarely favorable. Even when the Khadra lived in old Khardin, they rarely used this route south, instead traveling along the Perlinkook River. Today, with New Kharolin all the way across the Kharl the pass seldom sees Khadra, Ork or any other sentient creature.
