Brevoy Civil War
The imminent potential fragmentation of Brevoy.
Background
House Rogarvia unified Rostland and Issia into the new nation of Brevoy. However, after they vanished, House Surtova stepped in to rule Brevoy. House Aldori is unsatisifed with this arrangement and has been preparing for war for several years. (Insert notes about escalating tensions, the raising of New Stetven, etc.) In an attempt to save face, Natala Surtova and Jamandi Aldori attempted negotiations at the Six Bears camp, selected because of the tribe's insistence on neutrality and intolerance for dishonorable acts of aggression. House Surtova insisted that the nation would be stronger together, and that it was important to maintain the legacy of House Rogarvia. House Aldori insisted that the nation could be peacefully split. Both sides insisted that the other had no allies. While likely unrelated to the conflict, the Tiger Lords raids on House Lebeda's southern borders prompted a pullback of troops from New Stetven, leaving it guarded by only House Surtova.Factions
Unified Brevoy
- House Surtova
- House Lodovka is House Surtova's only true ally, and their naval force.
Independent Rostland
- House Aldori
- House Medvyed is not a military force
- The Land of the Silver Star
Assumed Unification
- Pitax's assassin guild, the Black Tears, attempted to kill Jamandi Aldori. Pitax and the Black Tears have been inciting unrest in The Land of the Silver Star through many means, including supporting a local cult.
- Drelev is suspected to be working with Pitax, willingly or otherwise. He is also disrespectful towards Jamandi Aldori and her closest allied leaders (Kiin and Maegar Varn).
- Tiger Lords have been testing the border of House Lebeda, perhaps to encourage them to not become enemies of House Surtova. Their new leader, Armag the Twice-Born, has been encouraging the conflict.
Assumed Independence
- House Garess is currently locked down, but if they're freed, will likely support House Aldori as Natala Surtova has had their house locked down and likely had several Garess heirs killed
- Nomen Centaur are a part of The Land of the Silver Star and would definitely defend against invasion, but it isn't certain how they would feel about actively participating in military conflicts to the north
Unknown or Unaffilitated
- House Lebeda doesn't like House Surtova. Lebeda played a major role in building New Stetven, and Lebeda's heir Lander said the city's management answered to him. It was probably unpopular when House Surtova forcibly took over the city to turn it into a military installation in recent months, and their heir did not seem fond of Natala in the first place. House Aldori are planning to help repel the Tiger Lords to help win their favor.
- Six Bears Tribe is independent, but a Sister has been trying to convince their rulers to get involved, likely in support of a Brevoy. However, for the time being, they are neutral.
- House Orlovsky has been locked down and not heard from in over 20 years, so their motivations (or existence) is unknown
- M'botuu
