Nomen Centaur
Tribes of Centaur who live and roam east of Varnhold and south of Restov. It is thought that they may have split off from the Rashalka centaurs and relocated long ago. They are a proud people who respect their ancient laws and tradition.
The Nomen Burial Grounds are at the north of their territory. Their main encampent is at the south end of their territory. Their camp has hundreds of centaur who reside in large, 12-15' tall tents. They regard outsiders with curiosity and intrigue, but generally do not allow two-legged outsiders to stay with them, as they consider it unnatural.
An ancient Bulette, which they have named Kankerata, hunts in their territory. It has been there longer than they have.
While The Valley of the Dead is not part of their territory, and they will not enter it, by tradition they do watch it for disturbances.
Recent Events
In 4710 the Nomen Centaur engaged in skirmishes with Varling Host, who had been tasked with pacifying them, before a peaceful resolution was ultimately reached. Varnhold was established with the understanding that they would not have any walls, which the Nomen Centaur consider to be a sign of hiding things. In 4713, after The Land of the Silver Star helped reform Varnhold, the Nomen Centaur agreed to join the Silver Star with the understanding that they could still roam in their existing lands and that a shrine for Desna would be built in Varnhold. They also permitted farms to be built in their lands so long as they were allowed to have some of the food.External relations
- Unfriendly towards the Spriggan in the area, especially after they stole an ancient Nomen artifact
- Suspicious towards Dryads after Sister kept trying to convince them to invade The Valley of the Dead and that The Land of the Silver Star was their enemy. They also have a bad history with fey.
