Temple of Ala

"The dogs chased us. Mother said they were hunting us.
We were trying to get to the temple. We were ambushed by several three-headed dogs. Mother screamed for me to run to the temple, she promised to follow. I didn't obey. I watched her kick and scream. Mother had a knife. One of the dogs bit off part of her foot, she killed it, and then she killed the others. She got up off the ground and we got to the temple as fast as we could.
The temple was a large, cathedral, covered in gold. It was the most beautiful thing I have seen in this underground city. Bulky armored guards with golden swords guarded every entrance to the temple. Everyone was racing to get inside, and fighting to get in before anyone else. Mother picked me up, and we approached one of the entrances. I could hear the dogs running, and the screams of people in their way. We were led inside by a guard and greeted by robed servants. They brought us to a corner of the building and did their best to take care of mother's foot, and my arm until Ala was ready to help us."   The Temple of Ala sits in the heart of Nachtmaere City, deep in Ala's Mountain. It is not the city's capital, but it is often treated as such.
When the beasts arrived, everyone ran to the Temple of Ala for sanctuary. Ala's guards did their best to protect everyone, but there were too many hounds and not enough room in the Cathedral for all the citizens. People fought to get inside, but some had to be cut down by Ala's guards.   Inside the temple, Ala takes care of the wounded and weak. She can heal any wound. The servants do the best they can to help everyone until Ala can. They also provide food, and water, for those who need it.     The cathedral is covered in gold, mined from the mines on the edge of the city, and has an ancient large steel clocktower.
