Electricity

Written by TheSpectator

Magic has been and continues to be the primary power source in Spellbound. Electricity didn't get discovered until the 1000th year when Earth got teleported into Spellbound. Electricity powers ships, phones, tablets, blades, and machines, and the batteries usually always last for a long time, whereas magic can only be used until the user passes out. Magic is often more effective, but limited. And electricity is basic and can do more things, just less powerful.   Humans prefer to use electricity over magic, just because they prefer it. But there is a group of people, that have been fighting for Spellbound since the 250th year, called the Warlocks. The Warlocks were normal Battlemages until Earth got dragged in. Some people think that the Warlocks believe that electricity production is bad for the environment, so they seek out and destroy everything electrical just because of their beliefs. Others think that the Warlocks don't like the competition, which is true, the Warlocks have been Battlemages for hire for almost 900 years, they are jealous of electricity lasting longer, and being cheaper.   Electricity is often used to power ships, or any tech really. Some people use the electricity to power their torture devices, while others use it to power their local villages. Electricity is also used in weaponry, either to provide a shocking experiance with a sword, or to power laser guns. Little do some know that electricity lasers are not lasers.

Utility

It is used for many things, from powering ships, cities, whole planets, to powering your phone, or you flip phone. Some people use it for torture or launching nukes. Some use it to power big machines like oil drills.
Access & Availability
Almost anyone can use it, except for the moons controlled by the Warlocks
Complexity
In order to be used, it requires other parts, such as wires, or gears.
Discovery
Human scientists taught others about how to use electricity.
