Axl, the Brute
Axl was a feared killer and respected mercenary for 20 years until he decided to lessen his focus on high-value contracts. and focus more on his personal life, only doing quick jobs every once in a while.
One of his most popular acts as a mercenary, was when he broke into a military base to rescue a foreign political leader and war criminal, from being executed.
He is also known for his bulky, large figure. Axl is nearly seven feet tall and very muscular. Axl was born and raised in a mining town. His father worked in the mines, and his mother worked in the saloon.
When Axl got old enough, he was forced to work in the mines. He spent most of his time mining, but he was often lucky enough to be given the option to work as a mechanic and fix some of the broken machines or building more, sometimes he was given the option to work on constructing new buildings for the ore miners.
It wasn't long until a powerful group of people (who were not smart enough to mind their own business) figured out they could steal ore from the miners. The miners fought and got most of their ore back, but these powerful people who stole from them were gangsters. The mining town was reduced to ashes.
Axl and a few others survived the gang's attack, and they were rescued by a group of monks and scholars, who gave them places to stay and chances to live a new life.
All of the survivors, except Axl, were ready to forget their hometown. Axl wasn't, he wanted revenge. The scholars and monks tried to stop him, but he was too big and strong. He pushed them aside, took a sledgehammer, and went on his first of many killing sprees. Axl wears a necklace with three shrunken skulls, given to him by a witch. Axl is now mostly under the radar. Many mercenaries have tried to kill him. Axl usually escapes or kills them.
He has moved around a lot, at one point working as a mechanic, one time working as a construction worker, a bouncer, any job he can get. He had to move to another planet and get a new identity every time someone found him. Eventually, Axl bought a small moon in the middle of nowhere and started a farm.
Occasionally he resurfaces and does a few contracts, no one knows why. No one knows where he is, or how to contact him. Axl has a rather large criminal record, and he is connected with many other criminals.
