Carpenters' Guildhall
Run by a snobby gnome named Jilar Kanklesten, the whole building is a marvel of workmanship, made without a single nail. In form, the hall is testament to Jilar's obsession over the heights of her industry's craft, and in function it speaks to the excesses of the guild's appetite for feasting and drinking to their own success.
The Carpenters' Guild encompasses any and all wood related trades in Saltmarsh. With an eternal amount of work in repairs alone, the guild is also responsible for building ships, manufacturing lumber, assembling barrels, putting in docks, constructing warehouses, and crafting the manors of the budding merchant class.
It is little wonder that since its formation in the last decade, the Carpenters' Guild has exploded in size and prominence. Yet there are many in Saltmarsh who remember when there was no guild controlling labor, materials, workmanship, or prices. Another notion brought south from Niole Dra.
The Carpenters' Guild is ever in need of fine materials for its most discerning clientele--and Jilar herself is obsessed with rare woods. She pays handsomely on behalf of the guild for adventurers to find specific trees in the Hool Marshes, the Drowned Forest, and the Dreadwood.
