Jilar is a proud snob of a gnome. Her personality is centered like a mast around her craft.
Personality
She is not exactly disdainful of others, so much as she is disinterested in anything that doesn't pertain to high end craftsmanship and materials, especially woodworking.
Beliefs
She only ever seems truly pleased when talking about her or the guild's accomplishments. Her intimate knowledge of the Saltmarsh's ships, buildings, and trade are nearly unrivaled
This singular will has built an abnormally high standard for the heights of her guild's work, making Jilar a natural favorite of Salinmoor's nobility and merchant classes.
Endeavors
The more mundane aspects of her role as head of the Carpenters Guild in Saltmarsh are often carried out begrudgingly, but with no less perfectionism than she puts forth in her carpentry.
Gellan Primewater fosters a particularly strong relationship with Jilar, making sure to treat Jilar as she believes she should be treated by lavishing her with compliments, respect, and hefty donations to the guildhall.
Feliza Kanklesten, the gnome cook in Primewater Mansion, is also Jilar's niece, whom Jilar has always been tough on. Jilar will never forgive Feliza for not taking interest in woodworking or the guild.
