Xiganmen
Founded 201 years ago, this gargantuan city was originally a colony of settlers from Jiaohai. However, two generations ago contact was lost. An expedition from Gorgon Wharf, financed by the merchant-king, Hikmet, was sent to look for survivors. They discovered that Xiganmen had simply unilaterally decided to operate independent from Jiaohai and the Jiao Alliance, and instead they had been growing and doing trade with Al-Zaluma over the sea, heretofore unknown settlements in the Hordelands, and with strange beings from a faraway land. Hikmet restored sea tradelines with the kingdom, and never reported his findings publically. Nonetheless, the Kingdom of Jiaohai learned of the colony's independence, and ultimately decided they were too small and too far to invest in recovery.
