Donglin City Settlement in Rolara | World Anvil

Donglin City

Donglin is an area of culturally and economically intertwined cities that form a small metropolis. The name means "East Forest," referring the sprawling ancient Green Forest that surrounds the area in all directions. Sometimes called the Red City, this place is visible deep into the forest due to the bright red roof tiles and wooden posts. Most of the nearby towns and villages are similarly red, especially westward towards the mountains. That is because the East Forest area is a known hunting ground for the Nian.
