Prince Turo's Army
Prince Turo's Army was gathered by the son of Grand Duke Arttu, Prince Turo, on the realisation of the prince that the war effort was beginning to turn in the favour of the enemy. Prince Turo was not brought in the original war party to besiege Asjaer, instead being left to administrate his father's domain in his absence. However, as it appeared that the Doric Army would soon be repelled from Aijia, Turo began drumming up support to send another army to assist. Many of the noble who had not already left with the Grand Duke were opposed to such action, making Turo's conscription difficult, instead, he resorted to personally travelling throughout the Grand Duchy, first by travelling east to the upper Yarrow valley, the territory of notorious war opponent Eerikki Kappeli. Here he would set up in town and city squares and take names of those willing to join his army, of course with the responsibility of having to compensate the overlords of villeins and peasants who were his primary source of manpower. He would then travel back west through the heartland and Kasta's Pass, stopping in towns such as Ilkweir, Paybridge, Pilkala and Tolta which had already seen many of their young men recruited. Prince Turo would then lead his newly formed army north and across the Tora river to a position were he could assist his father.
