First interaction
Richard is a mysterious figure, whom Rose and Bobby first meet during their quick escape from The Victory Ball. Where Richard leads them through a back stage exit after Rose wins the sabre dual from Stijn.
During those events Richard was dressed in the blue Royal Netherlands Navy uniform with the rank insignias of that of a Commander.
Second interaction
The ABC War has already been over for a few months, when Rose gets a radio call from Richard while they are sailing with the Sunset Dawn. Warning the pirate crew of an imminent attack on their ship by the Bolivarian Navy of Venezuela. Most of the crew manages to abandon ship when the attacking fighter jet comes in sight not even seconds later, sinking the ship with a single well placed bomb.

Richard is a Knight at the Order of the Bee, his family had been members for a long time, and quite some ancestors of Richard had met their partner trough the order. During the time Rose was a guest at Doorwerth Castle he did visit the castle three times. At his first visit he learnes from the Magistrate that Rose is there, and then he made sure she never saw him. Richard did however have a conversation with Aleksey, but Aleksey didn't know who Richard was.

Using the fact that Rose knew his name. Or, at least the name he chooses to be known by. He chartered Rose to ferry over some people to the UK . They only had contact via a letter.
Fourth interaction
Rose had dissaperad from Doorwerth. After the ferry service, something had happened in the UK. But Richard couldn't figure out what, or where she had gone. Until he Intercepted a Letter from the Magistrate. Because of his work at the MIVD he had to take it professionally, and let what was about to happen happen. But he couldn't and two days later he had tracked her down, and managed to place a call via a private line to warn her once more.
He is an intriguing man. I am curious as to his true motives.
So am I! This is one of those characters who has a mind of his own it seems, and just walked into my story here and there.
