Personal history
Zoe Miyamizu (宮水 ゾーイ) is a young girl who met with a strange fate. Growing up in a small town north of Ezochi, Zoe had a simple life. When she became a teenager, her family set her out to the Ezochi Academy to be educated. Where Zoe wilted in her hometown, here she flourished, surrounded by the bustle of the city and the remarkable diversity of her new friends.
However, one day, her friends decided to participate in a dare: to visit the Shinenmori Ruins outside of the city. Once there, their group was beset by monsters. After a long journey into the depths of these sacred ruins, they found themselves in the guidance of an evil man who sought to use them as a method to channel a god. But this god was always meant for them, and it was their destiny to descend within the ruin. Only her and her friend Michelle survived the encounter, and a brave group of adventurers saved them.
Once returned to the city, her family pulled her out of the academy to keep a watchful eye on her. It was here that she was sought out by Kenji Nakamura, a monk of the Ise Shrine. He had heard tale of her adventure in the dungeon, and sought to seek her out for her greater purpose. Having been touched by the gods, Kenji believed Zoe was fated to Link the Shrines. Although none believed at first, with time, Kenji showed that Zoe had newfound talents beyond her own knowledge.
Zoe was sent to train with Kenji at the Ise Shrine, and once again, Zoe blossomed. At first not believing the destiny granted to her, she quickly learned that her powers were real, and even stronger than implied. She met other Threads, which vitalized her soul, giving her inspiration to continue. When Zoe was asked if she would embark on the dangerous journey which would Link the Shrines along with a group from the Masters of the Shrines, she said she would be willing. She was returned to Ezochi to continue her education while Kenji sought out a group dependable and dynamic enough to lead the group across the continent on their grand pilgrimage.
