Personal history
As far back as K’rist can remember, she was at the boarding school. She compensated for her loneliness by burying herself in her academics. Though she was always best in her class, she didn’t socialize much and her closest friends were usually her teachers. One day, K’rist stumbled upon a dead traveler in the woods near the school. He’d apparently fell and broke his neck. Struck with morbid curiosity, K’rist began to research death, to try to discover what would become of the traveler. Due to her closeness with the teachers and clean record of behavior, she had access to a restricted area of the school library, which contained books about necromancy. She read accounts of endless hoards and cruel necromancers. Despite the tales of madness and destruction, K’rist came to one conclusion; the dead traveler was telling her this was the path she should take.
