Bayside
Bayside is a once-proud testament to a bygone era of ship-building, ocean borne freight and industry of the late 19th and early 20th Centuries. It once housed the city’s main docks and ship-building facilities but, due to financial burdens in the mid-20th century, the area fell into decline, forcing many of the facilities to close.
Over time, some of these facilities have re-opened under private management and the area is slowly rebuilding back into an import and shipping site for the city. It has a long, long way to go. Many of the people who work here live in the Northbridge district of the city and, for some of those people, it is the only work available to them. This creates fierce competition for filling one of those available roles.

“The increase in companies investing in the docks in Bayside can only be a good thing for this city, especially for the residents in Northbridge, who desperately need the work.” Grace Mohanna, resident of Northbridge, speaking in an interview with Lauren Lindermann of The City Runner.
