Framejack Interface

Utility

This is a terminal interface that enables seamless communication, control or interaction with the target system by accelerating or decelerating thought speed to compensate for relativity and time dilation between two or more places. Speeding up or down at will is called "overclocking" and "underclocking" respectively. Such a feature, naturally, is only applicable to minds uploaded into computers; who also use it on themselves to "jack down".
Jacking down is where a host slows down their personal time simulation to a rate of:
  • 1 hour per second
  • 1 week per second
  • 1 month per minute
  • 1 year for 12 minutes
  • etc.
For the purposes of avoiding boredom during long space transits or in waiting for vital construction in the physical world.
  • Social Impact

By default, digital beings experience time almost 1000x faster than corporal beings. Consequently, they develop centuries of thought within a limited time span; which can be further exaggerated by "jacking up".
Framejacking is about how fast you experience time.
In addition to facilitating relativistic communication, framejack interfaces are used as an intermediary device between bodiless thetíans and their ephemeral customers for business purposes.

  • Access & Availability
An interface can exist in a thetían's homepage as a virtual instrument.
    Complexity
A physical application is prone to hardware degradation, high heat generation and shortened circuitry lifespan if employed for too long.
