Outside the Walls
Bar some simple patrols those who reside outside of the walls of the city are left to fend for themselves. When humanity first arrived at the city those used to having open spaces to inhabit naturally migrated towards living outside of the walls. These farmers, ranchers, fishers, and laborers all possess their own weapons of some form or fashion. The city guard simply doesn't have the resources to patrol the whole inhabited areas and those who reside outside of the walls are distrustful of the guard.
Within the First Layer of Walls
The citizens here have traded space for protection. With the city guard numbering over 10 million strong, there is a enough of a force here to protect the city from all but the most audacious of attacks. Though they can function as a police force it is far more common to see the guard training than to see them acting in a police capacity. The Plaza of New Beginnings is the only place that has a dedicated force of guard patrolling it daily.
The Noble Houses
Each noble family has taken it upon themselves to hire, arm, and train their own guard force. As varied in their uniform as their tactics each noble family has at least 1000 men ready to die to defend the noble house. Most have more that are assigned as personal bodyguards to individual members of their house.
Citadel
The Royal family has the most elite force in the nation guarding every inch of the Citadel. Created during the rule Pippo Rex this guard are famed for their distinct masks, purple sashes, and zero tolerance for any suspicious activity. Trained by the most seasoned warriors in the kingdom each Royal Guard is a force to be reckoned with. Those who are personal bodyguards of the royal family are to be even more feared.
Physical Defenses
The first line of walls are dotted with areas for archers to rain down arrows on approaching armies. It is assumed that the city would have a significant warning of an invasion due to the number of people living outside the gates as well as the wide-open plains that extend below the city walls. These walls are maintained by the city guard and are sporadically monitored by patrols.

Due to the sheer number of people living in Earth the city could be self-sufficient simply by existing. However, it is also the lifeblood of the Rex Kingdom. Here the armor, weapons, siege weapons, and magic items are produced and distributed throughout the kingdom. It also produces the literature and artwork that decorates Baron's manors across the nation. In the city of Earth, there are also are the only five Universities of higher learning in the nation. Thus most of the knowledge that is acquired of this new land is spread from this city. The vast majority of the money this city spends is trickled down from the Royal family and the noble houses with the army propping up many institutions with their patronage.
Imports
The massive number of people living here also requires an enormous amount of food to be imported every day. The economy of food has made dozens of merchants rich as they scramble to find exotic foods to further satisfy the ever-developing palette of Earth's citizens. The importing of timber and metal are also bi-weekly occurrences. The constant expansion of the woodworking class has decimated forests in the surrounding area. Much of the metal comes via trade and the Royal family is desperate to find a source within their own borders to decrease their reliance on foreign resources.
Infrastructure
The Royal family rules from their imposing Citadel that dominates the center of the city. The throne room itself can easily hold 300 people. Hosting balls, legislative fights, court intrigue, and military strategizing the Citadel is the beating heart of the Kingdom's political complex.
The Plaza of New Beginnings
Built by a coalition of three noble houses the Plaza of New Beginnings is the largest merchant area in the Kingdom. Here anything and everything can be found for a price. It is often bustling with foot traffic deep into the night. A statue of the first king, Maffeo Rex, stands triumphant in the middle of the Plaza.

The Rex Royal Family
The Royal family rules the city with a gentle touch. The mere threat of being on the wrong side of the royal family is often enough to get their way in matters that they are passionate about. Each of the royal family members exists in different strata and they are all working on separate projects to advance their own interests.
