Responsibilities

The Director of Societal Normas is in charge of maintaining societal and organisational culture across the Peacekeeper Alliance. These responsibilities include:

Setting Ideals

In collaboration with Director of Culture and Director of Order, setting the societal ideals for every planet within the Peacekeeper Territories.

Setting Social Hierarchy

Setting and maintaining the social hierarchy of cultures on planets across the Peacekeeper Territories.

Overseeing Societal Norms

Ensure that social norms are adapted to fit with the ideals of the Alliance, and create new norms to match the predefined ideals. This includes encouraging locals to redevelop their own norms and create their own stories and ideals to explain them.

Societal Norms are often thought of as the other side of the coin to the Culture branch. The purpose of the people working within this branch is to ensure that any traditions practised by the different species and ethnicities within the Peacekeeper Territories are adapted to be in line with what the Peacekeepers deem acceptable.
This includes working with leaders to tone down behaviours and bring them more towards the Pachian traditions.

Qualifications

In order to step into the position of Director of Societal Norms, there are several routes a person could take. These include:

Orthodox Route

• Min 6 years at Peacekeeper Academy, including 90% or higher in all Foundations Courses
• Min 10 years working within Peacekeeper Integrity under Societal Norms

Unorthodox Route 1

• Min 6 years at Peacekeeper Academy, including 90% or higher in all Foundations Courses
• Min 10 years working within Peacekeeper Integrity under Culture

Unorthodox Route 2

• Min 6 years at Peacekeeper Academy, including 90% or higher in all Foundations Courses
• Min 10 years working within Peacekeeper Integrity under Order

Unorthodox Route 3

• Min 6 years at Peacekeeper Academy, including 90% or higher in all Foundations Courses
• Time spent in a Leadership role within P'Ache Prime Media Outlets
• Staying within P'Ache Star System: Min 10 years
• Travelling beyond the P'Ache Star System: Min 5 years
• Min 5 years working within Peacekeeper Integrity reporting directly to the Director of Societal Norms or Director of Culture or Director of Order
