Court of Countillan
The Court of Countillan is the united body that makes up the city-states of Countillan. There are five individuals that sit on the high court, referred to as Court Leaders, with each belonging to one of the regions of Countillan. Additionally, there are twenty minor seats where a representative of each prominent city-state resides. As of 6728 however, an additional seat has been added due to Vistovia's appearance.
The sectors include;
Roughly 850 years ago the court was formed to limit the influence of individual empires or kingdoms. During this, the court founders made political allies with many of the smaller city-states and those under rule by the various empires of Countillan. Through peace treaties, deals, and at times war the court was able to band most of the continent together and hold stability. Some city-states disagree with the agenda of the court, especially when their leaders are picked by the state with the largest population. Some also wish to return to their empiric ways and expand their reach. Some of these city-states include Ryvrbond and Elysance. The court tends to keep a closer watch on these city-states and scrutinizes their political moves. Yet they tend to leave other harmful practices alone, such as the intimidation of the Arvenson family and the colonization of the Arcanic Falls' triton and sea-elf population. These are in part due to their political influence and the financial gain court members receive from turning a blind eye. The current Court Leaders include;
- The Stravallian Desert and some of the forests surrounding it. This region is referred to as Straval.
- The Darleth Planes and the Southern Countillan Isles. This region is referred to as Darleth.
- The Ascending Peaks, the forests around it, and the majority of the Frozen Plate. This region is referred to as Trequero. This is where the council meets and conducts business in the content's capital, Trostenwald.
- The Northern Hills and portions of the Frozen Plate. This region is referred to as Brusel.
- The Descending Peaks and the Midnight Forest. This region is known as Acins.
