The Midnight Forest

The Midnight Forest is a dark forest on the North Eastern side of Countillan. The forest is home to dark fey magic that seeps through the soil. Many dark fey lurk in the forest including will-o-wisps, dark hags, and twisted druids. Portals to the Realm of Ivy occasionally pop up in the midnight forest. Magic often takes a dark and chaotic turn at times even turning on its own caster or having amplified effects.
It is a dangerous place to travel and explore with the Laudrian Road being guarded by powerful abjuration magic but the magic cannot help when straying from the path. While in the Midnight Forest after an hour of travel, the sun will have gone down and turned to midnight by magical means.
