Session 19 - End of the World
General Summary
Sasha and Hamilton witnessed two glowing blue eyes in the distance. Sasha bolted ahead after the figure, with Hamilton trailing behind. Within moments, she caught her quarry, but it turned out they were just blue lanterns held by Valentine and Crash, two of Blanche's men.
Valentine explained that they were there on Blanche's behalf to share some new information on The Order. They had learned that things might be far more dire than once thought, with Valentine saying it could result in "the end of the world". After that, the Zso pair said their goodbyes and headed back to Emmett.
Meanwhile, Skinny was still reeling from his discoveries about Angela. Now wanting to find her, Skinny regrouped with his party and explained what he had learned. Together, they all went to the office of Sofia Sweeney, Mayer of Sweetwater.
Inside, they saw a little, anxious woman. The party quickly learned she was being used by Goodwin, as she was seen folding his laundry. But, she was able to retrieve a file on Angela during her time as a resident there. Skinny learned that not only her last name, Hills, but he also learned she had left Sweetwater 6 years ago and moved east, to Cliff's Edge.
With a new destination in sight, the party embarked to Cliff's Edge! On their way, they heard the sounds of battle and discovered the Riders being attacked by a group of armored soldiers. The party charged in and saved the Riders, sending the other group fleeing into the trees.
Maddie Beck and Johnson, both wounded, were very grateful. Sasha demanded payment for their services, to which Maddie did not dispute.
After that, they continued to Cliff's Edge, finally arriving at the volcanic pits. Despite the Carriage taking some damage, they were able to make it through alive and climb up the mountainside. But as they traveled, they were attacked by polar bears! Things were looking dire, until a massive spear of stone stabbed into the ground. A bearded, shirtless man called out to the party, and they hurried along after him.
At the peak of this mountain, the snow suddenly cleared, and they were introduced to Vidar Stonefoot, leader of Cliff's Edge. He introduced himself to everyone, and led them to Brondby's, the local bar and inn, to warm up and relax. On the way, Hamilton almost had his pistol stolen by some children. Inside, they saw a performance being held for kids, depicting Lecter "The Great" Stonefoot fighting Roxie. Sasha was asked if she could play the role of Roxie, and she begrudgingly agreed. In the end, she defeated "Lecter", making many of the children cry.
During all of this, Skinny, now preferring to be called his first name, Finn, discovered that Angela was no longer around. She had fallen off a cliff during a hunt, after about a year's stay in the settlement. He learned that she had created Brondby to try and rekindle what she had with him, but it just wasn't the same. And now, she was gone.
