Sasha Densharr

Sasha Densharr (a.k.a. The Trollslayer)

Born to the Densharr tribe in the south of Nevurdul, Sasha grew up with her destiny pre-determined... and boy oh boy did she hate that. She refused to be no more useful than a mother to many Ka-Tish children, and instead took up a bow and swordplay as she grew into her teenage years. With the help of her brother, Yassen, she was shown to be quite promising as a warrior. Growth only could last so long, however, as one terrible marauder raid was all it took to wipe her tribe off the map. Though some had passed, others went missing, and Sasha didn't know what to do besides run and try to find them later on. Through the process of five years, she continued to hide until meeting one particular merchant by the name of Eleanor. Through this relationship she met others, including a Servo named Skinny (later Finn), and an outsider from a supposed distant land by the name of Hamilton. With these three she traveled for some time, exploring Nevurdul and beginning to adjust to a new life until her old one thrust her back into an obsession. With the help of her new companions, she put an end to the wicked Liberty Knights and found her brother Osho. She took the opportunity to move into a more normal life again, heading north with her brother, abandoning her new companions, until word from the south reached her again, and circumstances on Nevurdul could no longer be ignored.

Mental characteristics

Gender Identity

Despite rejecting the gender role placed upon her by her family, Sasha is comfortable as a woman, simply preferring to live life on her own terms. She does, however, make extensive use of a more toxic masculine identity in order to constantly try and set herself as far apart from traditional womanhood as possible. Burying emotions, threatening violence, and using violence are all tactics she tends to rely on at times when put into a corner.

Sexuality

Sasha never really considered her feelings of romance or sexuality as she grew up. Though she had the occasional crush on a village boy, she attributes that to her own hormones. Recently, her feelings around Eleanor have forced her to question herself for quite some time now. In typical Sasha fashion, however, her response to those feelings involved active rejection when she left for Cliff's Edge with Osho.

Education

Sasha is not extremely well read. Most of her intelligence is based in the wild, as she learned much about native creatures and fauna in her time spent away from civilization and society at large. She reads a little, but only enough to get by. Her talent shines best when she grips a blade or bow, not a book.

Employment

Sasha is more of a freelance adventurer, with no particular ties to call her own, and she likes it that way.

Accomplishments & Achievements

With the aid of her companions, Sasha has accomplished much in such a short time. From helping aid Remington Kingdom in putting down a troll attack, to aiding the rest of Nevurdul in putting down the invasive weeds that were the Liberty Knights, she has gotten far into the politics and greater conflicts of Nevurdul.

Mental Trauma

Sasha is constantly haunted by her previous experiences in losing her village to marauders. Though she will not always come out and say it, the trauma she carries is held close. It shows most through her hatred of those who kill without reason, and in her obsession to retrieve her brother and leave when she and her comrades faced the Liberty Knights. Even if she enjoys her freedom, there will always be a part of her deep down that wishes she didn't have to lose one life in order to gain the other.

Morality & Philosophy

Sasha is pragmatic, logical, and always brutally honest. She fights only with good reason but seemingly always has a good reason to fight. Her very philosophy is very survivalist in nature, because that is what she needed in order to survive in the bare wilderness of Nevurdul for as long as she did.   Despite her usual need for honesty, she doesn't seem to apply it in cases where she fears for the safety of the individual, like when she waits to tell Vidar about Lector, or earlier on when she avoids telling things to Finn because she doesn't want to break his innocence. She tells Hamilton like it is because she expects him to be able to take it well, because he is supposed to be more mature than she is.   Even with all of Nevurdul's tragedy and harsh nature, she still holds strong convictions against those who harm the innocent. This mostly comes from her personal experience with the marauders, and her own vow to protect those who need it.

Social

Contacts & Relations

Hamilton - Sasha has trouble viewing Hamilton outside the lens of an outsider. Especially with incidents like the one where he nearly attacked her, and the one involving Samantha Wilcott, she does not completely trust Hamilton. That being said, she does admire his intellect and skill in battle (when he's focused, that is). She naively hopes that the longer he spends here, the more he'll adapt and change to be more... Nevurdulish.   Skinny/Finn - Sasha sees a lot of herself in Finn. From his lost upbringing, to his sense of wonder and optimism in freedom, she cannot help but want to protect it at all costs. Even when he breaks her sword, she is able to be more understanding due to his relatability.   Eleanor - Sasha cares a lot about Eleanor. What was initially another effort to help a merchant on the road, became a sincere and loving relationship and the first person to pull Sasha out of her cycle after all this time. Sasha could never put anyone above Eleanor, and yet, when she begins to develop even stronger feelings, ones that make her question herself, she pushes her away, unable to face her again for a time, deciding that having a life with her brother is a better option.   The Riders - Sasha has a complicated relationship with the horsemasters. On one hand, they are helpful and have come to the aid of her and her comrades many times. On the other, she knows that to some extent, they are only slightly better than the less organized rabble that pillage, plus their early antagonistic nature with Hamilton. She does not hate them, but would rather not get too far in with them, though she is happy that Finn has found a home in them.   Remington - Sasha does not realize how important her role in Remington has been. Despite this, she is very trusting of the Queen and her allies (except Aldo the asshat). She prefers not to be too closely attached to the political side, but does not refuse work from the Elysia.   Cliff's Edge - Cliff's Edge is the place Sasha wishes her village to be. Living the rugged lifestyle whilst remaining self-reliant. A more positive and encouraging community than her home. She sees the villagers there as another family now, especially in Vidar, someone she looks up to.

A rebellious warrior princess in her own right, she stands in opposition to all tradition of the typical Ka-Tar woman. A hunter and swordswoman in tune with the natural world, she relies on a masculine front to project her strength around her companions.
