Maddie Beck is the founder and current leader of The Riders. She is known all around Nevurdul for her optimism and carefree, spunky attitude. She has always been close friends with her second-in-command, Johnson, until his mysterious departure.

Appearance

Maddie is an Elf woman with long, wavy black hair that cascades to her lower back. She has big, dark eyes, and very soft features. She's about average height, and has a bit of a wider build. She typically keeps her hair loose, underneath a brown cowboy hat. She also wears leather armor and a denim jacket, along with other typical cowboy accessories.

Personality

Maddie's personality revolves around her child-like optimism. She's capable of boosting the morale of all the Riders with her seemingly-endless well of energy. However, because of this, she is often unable to take situations seriously, no matter how dire or life-threatening. She seems to prefer pushing past these negative emotions in favor of enjoying herself, such as her constant refusal to acknowledge Johnson's departure.

Background

Maddie was born to an unnamed father and Agnes Everdeen. It's unknown where she grew up, but at some point she came in contact with a book detailing the story of Sheriff Beck and Deputy Johnson. This would come to inspire her to name her Servo after the deputy. At some point, as she grew up, Maddie's father drowned in the river in Riverbend, and ever since, she's had a negative relationship with her mother, to the point that Johnson has to come visit to update her on Maddie's health.

Maddie was first met when the party was attacked by Ryka's tribe. She and the rest of the Riders came in and slaughtered the tribe. Maddie dealt the killing blow to Ryka, which infuriates Hamilton to this day. She then demanded compensation for the assistance.

Maddie was met yet again when the Misfits discovered her and the Riders pinned down by The Liberty Knights. After helping them, they demanded compensation, and Maddie happily obliged.

Maddie was encountered several other times throughout the Misfits' adventures, most notably when she attended the Queen's Festival in Remington Kingdom.

She and the rest of the Riders arrived during the attack on Liberty Castle, and were pivotal in the turning point against The Liberty Knights.

After a month passed, the Misfits encountered Maddie again when she enlisted their help in locating a very important book for her, which turned out to be in the hands of Roxie.

Relationships

• Finn: Finn and Maddie have been in contact consistently ever since they first met. They seem to enjoy each other's presence, although Maddie doesn't seem to take him seriously all the time.
• Hamilton Caldwell: Ever since Ryka's death, Hamilton has despised Maddie, the Riders, and everything they stand for. Maddie seems indifferent toward him, despite it all.
• Johnson: Maddie and Johnson's relationship seems to stretch back many years. They have quite a strong bond that has been stressed with Johnson's recent departure from the Riders.
