Ryka

Ryka was a hired guide for the Merto Archeaology Dispatch. This turned out to be a ploy so his tribe could invade the campsite. He was later found by the Misfits traveling with his tribe, and was killed by Maddie Beck.

Appearance

Ryka was a Ka-Tar male with light-brown fur. His hair was short, and he has a less intense expression than Ka-Tar typically do. He often wore simple Ka-Tish garments, but slowly embraced The Mainland's wardrobe and experimented with some of their attire.

Personality

Ryka was very polite to the members of the dispatch. He often greeted them as they woke up, but generally kept to himself during his time there. He seemed to show regret for his actions when confronted by the party later on, showing signs that perhaps the attack wasn't his idea.

Background

Ryka was born into a Ka-Tish tribe and presumably had a normal childhood. He encountered the dispatch group after they crashed on Nevurdul's shore, and somehow ended up becoming their guide.

After some time, Ryka's tribe invaded the campsite, knowing the layout and defenses of the the campsite thanks to Ryka. They ransacked the place, and weren't heard from again until weeks later, when the party ran into him and his tribe transporting the dispatch's supplies.

The party struggled to fend off the tribe until The Riders made their debut entrance and assisted. Hamilton Caldwell was able to talk Ryka down and convince him to surrender, but right as he did, Maddie Beck shot a crossbow bolt through his head, killing him instantly.

Fate

• Killed by Maddie Beck

In the aftermath of a battle against his tribe, as he was being talked down by Hamilton, Maddie Beck abruptly shot Ryka in the head.

Relationships

• Hamilton Caldwell: Ryka seemed to regard Hamilton warmly. He showed regret for robbing the campsite, but was unfortunately gunned down in that moment.
