Elde County
The Torpin County is a relatively new county established in 1213. Count Eraon Torpin is the noble in charge, and he rules from Vernoff. The county contains Vernoff, as well as Rosiot, Town of Torquini, Emberstone Garrison and Creekfall. Its most important asset is the Emberstone Mine where it generates most of its wealth.
Lately, the count is having to ensure that the Inquisition as well as the other churches, and the Arcanic Order do not take over control from him. In addition he has been pushing to expand his county into Drotha Thrak, but he has not been allowed to yet, because it is viewed as too unimportant a location to invest manpower, guards and control over.
This push to expand was aided by the razing of Drotha Thrak by the Greenskin Gruumsh Clans living in Karak Drotha, after which the Steelpick Mercenaries decided to retake the clan, and in negotiations led by Throngur Steelpick of the Fellfinders, they agreed to induct Drotha Thrak and Karak Drotha in the Torpin County. The exact dates of the induction was on the 12th of January 1421 A.S.
On the 5/8/1421, the city of Vernoff was invaded by a gnoll] hoard that came from the Laughing Forest. The information was repressed by the local barons so rumors and stories haven't developed yet. But it is known that the Fellfinders are the ones who started saying the story to some people in Creekfall. The details of the city and its state are not known, neither are the numbers of survivors, the state of the city, or its infrastructure.
