BASIC OVERVIEW
Living in Queens, Maya's parents were very strict. After her uncle's arrest, they were much tougher on her. This caused her to build up a resentment towards her parents and eventually move out. She began attending Maiorum High where she became head of the photography club. She would also take it upon herself to protect her underclassmen from bullies. She's very kind and nurturing, encouraging students to think for themselves and not try to fit some sort of mold. However, she's also more than willing to get stern when necessary
Descending from the Aztec, her Mythos is the godess of motherhood, Coatlicue. As Coatlicue she has the ability to summon venomous snakes, capable of poisoning or making enemies hallucinate. She also has control over water, which she uses to increase her speed as she beats enemies with blunt weapons. She gained this power around the same time as Jayden and Alec during the same kidnapping incident
PERSONALITY
Maya is very protective and motherly, often acting as the group's moral compass. However, she is by no means a push over. She can get stern which tends to keep Jayden's pride in check. Prior to her kidnapping, she dreamed of becoming a photographer
