Alec and the gang rush to stop the attack on Washington DC, all the while Jayden contemplates what to do now that his Mythos has taken over once before

Stealing a jet was easy. While he didn't have access to his normal resources after the kidnapping, he still had access to the family's private jet. So technically it wasn't stealing at all. Regardless, they hopped on and let the jet just fly itself to Washington. Akane felt bad for leaving Jayden behind but Maya assured her that it was for the best   Chris added that this was basically a war now. They couldn't afford a liability like him. Akane rolled her eyes and ask how he can say that when Amber is involved. She asks if he hates her now, to which he brushes it off as irrelevant. She's the enemy, how he feels doesn't matter. She wouldn't hesitate to kill him so he can't either. Maya disagrees. She may not know Amber well but from what she's seen, she has a good head on her shoulders. She wouldn't do it unless she for some reason felt it was right   On the way, Alec asked what Taylor was talking about? When he said she left him to take the fall for a murder? Maya's face turned from a warm smile to a soft frown. Akane immediately gets defensive saying that it isn't his business but Maya assures that it's alright and she explains the events of her sixteenth birthday. Her and Taylor got into a lot of trouble together. Not fights or anything, but they'd just do whatever they wanted for fun even if it wasn't entirely legal. She tried to stop him every time but always found herself being dragged along and yeah, it was a fun rush but it wasn't worth their futures. On the night of her sixteenth birthday, Taylor wanted to get her something special and took her to go steal a car but the alarm got tripped. The owner came running with a gun and Taylor attacked him, accidentally pulling the trigger. The police were already on their way so she ran. For the next few months, she was a total wreck. If not for Akane, she'd probably be a very different person than she is now. As she was explaining this, she was tearing up. She felt like I coward and that she should have done something to stop him but Akane wiped those tears and assured her that his choices were his own. Maya disagrees, saying that she should have done more to stop him or at least not go along with it. Alec can say that everyone makes mistake and work to improve or assure her that she's a different person. Regardless, Maya appreciates the support from the two and says they may be right   Meanwhile with Jayden, he's just playing video games, trying to take his mind off what happened. Julian noticed and offered to talk over a soda. Jayden explains he doesn't know what to do. Of course he wants to go back out there. His friends are out there risking their lives and his old friend clearly needs help with all that talk of "Power means everything". Julian, despite his earlier remark says maybe he should go fight then. He can fly so there's nothing stopping him. Jayden then asked what if Ra takes over again and Julian had an idea. He drew a stick figure in the dust on the ground and a small piece of DNA beside it. "That is your Mythos Gene, just one strand of DNA among nintey-one others. Do you seriously believe one part of you can beat the nintey-one other parts of you, Jayden?" he asked "You're not just Ra. You're Jayden Tyson, and everything that comes with that. Your past, your beliefs, your interests. It's a common issue with human beings. One tiny thing they don't like about others or themselves and they latch onto that. But they're trivial compared to the larger whole"   Hearing that, Jayden grinned and resolved himself to go and help   When Alec's group finally arrived, Washington was on fire. Monsters and cultist ravaged the city, killing and looting. Akane was disgusted by what she saw as she transformed with Maya and Alec doing the same. Chris came in from the pilot's seat telling them there's a huge swarm of monsters by the Washington Monument so that's where this plane is going. They should get going. With that, they jump out of the plane. Alec controls the wind to soften his fall, Maya makes a cyclone of water to slowly drop her, Akane stabs her blade into a nearby building to slow her descent and Chris made a ramp of ice. They all land safely as the plane crashed. Thankfully, it missed the monument itself while still hitting the monsters. Maya says the the brothers are likely at the capitol building but they should help people on the way   Chris agrees, saying it'll help clear their name which annoys the girls as they rush to their destination. Using their powers, the group can save civilains from monsters and falling debris for extra rewards and monster parts. Regardless, they make it to where Donald is playing hostage to his younger brother. Donald glares at them, asking what thugs like them get out of this. Chris just says to cut the hostage act. They know what he really is. His face unchanging, he asked "Then what am I? You see me as a villain but how can you be so sure? What I intend may just save the world, or rather what Alistair intends"   Maya argues that the world doesn't need to be saved. But Donald just scoffed, asking if she's really so sure. With all the war and strife in the world. People are starving, suffering in the streets. Wars arebreaking out worldwide. All of this could be fixed if the countries of the world merged into one with shared beliefs and ideals   Damian smiles, talking about "That's my big brother! The light to my dark!"   Akane asks what about him? What does he get out of doing something so evil? Does he think he's serving some 'greater good' too? Damian shoots that down. From the day he was born he was bored with the world. He never understood why. Everthing just felt stagnant, unmoving. He then asked if any of them have read The Devil's Dictionary. It states that the chief factor of progress in the human race is malfactors, villains like him. That's his purpose, to be the villain that forces the stagnant world to keep moving. Akane grinned as she comes to the conclusion that there's no point talking with someone so delusional. Just before the fight, Jayden flies through the cieling before transforming back. He jokes about how he could only use that to get there without Ra taking over. Try not to leave him again next time. He looks to Akane and catches something she was holding behind her back, a recorder. Upon grabbing it, he rushed out to find a place to transmit it. Just because he doesn't have his Mythos doesn't mean he can't be useful. Damian gets ready to chase him down but Alec stops him with a swarm of arrows. Clearly annoyed, Damian tells Donald to chase after him, which he does and Damian transforms into his Mythos, Erebus "You sly brats got me monologuing. I'd almost be impressed if I wasn't so pissed!"   A fight would break out between the team and the God of Shadows while Jayden rushes through the capitol building until eventually he finds a broadcasting studio. Using a nearby locker to block the door and began broadcasting. He explains to the nation that most of them don't know him and they don't need to but he has something they want to hear. He then plays the recording and explains to them that Donald and Damian Bennedict are working together. Damian used the Cult of Erebus to make a bad guy the public would be so desperate to get rid of that they'd rally around Donald who agreed to fight them. This attack was the biggest move yet. But why? Because Alistair Amble is planning to usurp the government and take over the world. It's hard to believe and he won't ask you to take his word for it, but people need help and this won't end until Alistair is taken down. So think for yourself, it'll all make sense. Once Donald finally got the door busted down, Jayden easily punched him out and rushed to go help the people   Back with the group, upon beating Damian, Chris goes to finish him but Alec has the option to stop him. If he does so, Chris questions him and Alec has two answers, let the government decide what to do with him or we look worse for killing him. Regardless, Chris backs down. If not, he kills Damian. Either way, they return to the warehouse using Damian's jet. The monster rifts had closed earlier so the National Guard can handle what's left
