Criminal Activity
Getting the celebration out of their systems, the group continues their assault on the Divine Conspiracy. Little do they know of what they'll find when they return
Once the festivities finished, the group wakes up and decide to continue their attack. The police are FBI are both looking into Alistair (If the player goes to Amble Tower after the Attack on the Capitol, they'll be there). It's only a matter of time before they find the portal. Jayden asks Julian where does the portal even lead? They were so busy with exposing the conspiracy, they never asked. Julian asks if they're familiar with the Collective Unconscious. Chris explains that it's a theoretical space of unconsciousness shafred by all people. It's a place where all thoughts go. Memories, concepts and impulses all get pooled into the Collective Unconscious. This results in a side eye from each member of the group. What? It's boring being trapped in the tower all day. He had to read to keep himself sane. Julian smiled and nodded. He was right, minus the theoretical part. It is very real and that's where the portal leads. He theorized that the Mythos Gene is somehow connected to the Collective Unconscious. Back when he was a member of the Conspiracy, the plan was to send Alistair into the Collective Unconscious to improve the potency of his Mythos Gene. As his Mythos, unlike theirs, is still widely worshiped to this day, his power would increase massively, to someone who could reshape the world as he saw fit. The would be a set right and wrong, everyone would think the same and the world would be happy. Jayden scoffed, trading away hundreds of thousands of years of history and individuality all for some semblance of safety. But Maya sees the logic. When you boil it down, a lot of issues would be nonexistent if people did have such minor differences to fight over. Jayden growled, clearly angry. No amount of safety is worth trampling over people's basic right to be individuals. Maya assured she doesn't agree, she just sees the logic Changing the subject back, Akane said that while Alistair shouldn't keep the portal, no government should have it either. If it's still functional enough to bring monsters here, then they need to destroy it. Chris agrees but doesn't know how to approach it. Even when Alistair wasn't his enemy, he didn't have access to the basement levels of the tower. That's probably where it would be. Alec has the option to just walk out or explain his idea. The Angels want them right? Make them come to us and we'll take one. Their best bet is either Uncle Tyler or Amber as they'd be the most cooperative. So Chris and Alec will make themselves known while the others hide. They'll exploit the Angels's differing goals to draw out the ones they want. Little did they know, that when they left someone had been watching. Using their powers, they reach the top of a building. On queue, Chris would create a pillar of ice before destroying it with wind. The effect was so large that it could be seen across the city. Sure enough, it attracted Tyler and Amber to fight. While they did try to talk, asking why they would do this. It's like drawing a beacon to them. Chris asks how to get to the basment levels. The two looked shocked and Tyler asked why they wanted to go down there? Alec can tell them not to play dumb or state outright that they want to destroy the portal completely. The two looked at each other, clearly hesitant. Tyler then stepped up and transformed. If he can beat them, he'll tell them. With a dramatic pose, Jayden, Maya and Akane jump out to fight. After a long drawn out fight, they win and they agreed upon, Tyler told them the code and told Amber they need to leave. Feeling they had won, the group go back to the warehouse. When they arrive, they find it in flames, Julian is nowhere in sight. Maya is quick to put out the fire but when they search inside it's no good. Dr Julian Eos....is gone
